Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II has urged Ugandan youth to use TikTok responsibly, promoting truthful information on religion, development, and civic matters, while calling for peace, dialogue, and prayers for leadership that prioritizes citizens’ welfare this Eid al-Fitr 2026.

Kabaka Ronald Mutebi has called on his subjects, particularly young people, to use TikTok responsibly by sharing accurate information on religion, development, and civic matters rather than engaging in abuse or exposing others.

The message came as part of his Eid al-Fitr 2026 greetings.

In his statement, the Kabaka congratulated Muslims across Uganda for successfully completing the holy month of Ramadan and observing the fast.

He emphasized that fasting and prayer bring dignity and spiritual benefits not only to individuals but also to the nation.

Mutebi also addressed Ugandans during the ongoing election period, urging citizens to elect leaders who will honor their campaign promises, particularly in fighting corruption and improving livelihoods.

Noting reports of unrest in parts of Buganda following elections, the Kabaka called for dialogue among all stakeholders in the electoral process to strengthen lasting peace.

Highlighting the popularity of TikTok among youth in Buganda, he encouraged young users to use the platform responsibly, sharing truthful information and discussing topics that promote national development, religion, peace, education, and healthcare, rather than using it to insult or shame others.

He concluded by urging continued prayers for the kingdom and for leadership that prioritizes the welfare of ordinary citizens, including the protection of land, property, and community assets.
